Remember, the PCA is here to HELP!
It is hoped that this web site will expand to be able to provide more information on childminding topics, and that by continuing to support parents and childminders and by promoting high standards of quality we will achieve this goal.

The PCA is the new childminding association for Peterborough and its surrounding area’s. It is run BY childminders FOR childminders and parents.
Originally part of the Peterborough And Cambridgeshire Childminding Association (PACCA), the Peterborough members firstly formed a childminding group (the PCG) to handle local issues and vacancies, but as it’s membership grew, it was felt that a separate Association was needed to concentrate on the issues which related to Peterborough. This lead to the split from PACCA and the folding of the PCG in May 2002. The PCA was formed in June 2002 and its membership is growing more and more every month.
We are a non-profit making association whose aim is to help new and existing members with filling vacancies and with any help or advice that they may require. We also support the parents of minded children, offering them the best in childcare and any information or support they may need when choosing a registered childminder.
We have a members register, so that any parent requiring a childminder can contact us and we will aim to place the child/children with one of our members in the vicinity given. Our membership covers the majority of Peterborough and as more members join, then the coverage expands with it.
Our mission Statement.
It is our aim to provide a warm, caring environment to ensure every child in our care feels safe, secure and valued. Each child shall be treated as an individual and be afforded the opportunities and resources that will allow them to develop physically, socially and emotionally.
If you wish any more information on this or any other topic you think we may help with, please feel free to contact us.
Whenever the word "parent" is used in this website, it should be taken to mean parent or carer.
Please leave your comments about this site via our contact page, thank you.
